What an incredible week it has been at Chilton! Thank you all for your continued engagement and support—it truly makes our school community so special.
One of the standout moments this week was our trip to Young Voices at the O2 in London. The children had the most wonderful time, singing their hearts out and taking in the electric atmosphere. A huge highlight was their VIP box upgrade, making the experience even more unforgettable! I want to personally thank all the staff who made this happen and all the parents for their support, whether you were able to attend or not. It was a fantastic event—even if we were greeted by a few croaky voices and tired limbs the next morning!
Our Year 5 & 6 mixed football team also took part in the semi-final of the Consolation Cup this week. While they lost 5-3, they played with determination and represented Chilton with pride, displaying the sporting values we hold dear. A huge well done to them, and thank you to all the parents who came along to cheer them on—it means so much to our young athletes.
Another exciting event this week was the Year 5 trip to Chatham & Clarendon Grammar School to watch their performance of Matilda. The feedback has been fantastic—our children absolutely loved the show and were thoroughly inspired by the talent on display.
I am sure you haven’t missed the grand opening of our new trim trail in the KS1 playground! The children have been climbing, swinging, and balancing their way through break times, and it has been wonderful to see their excitement. This is all part of our ongoing commitment to improving play opportunities at Chilton because we know how important play is for children’s wellbeing. Thank you for all the positive feedback on this latest addition—it’s been fantastic to hear how much the children are enjoying it.
Finally, I want to express my gratitude to those who have reached out about our volunteering community project. I have been truly moved by the number of people willing to give their time to help improve the school environment for our children. Your generosity and commitment to our school are deeply appreciated.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend.
