Dear Families,
Happy New Year!
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas break and managed to enjoy some quality time with your loved ones. Thank you for helping us ensure such a smooth transition back into the school routine this week. It’s been a fantastic start to the term, filled with exciting opportunities for both learning and play.
One of the highlights of our return has been our Champions of Courage learning focus, which has already inspired so many of our children. Alongside this, we’ve launched our new playtime initiative, Thrive Play, which has transformed lunchtimes into an even more engaging and joyful experience.
The children have absolutely loved exploring the new equipment, particularly in our Forest School area, where they’ve been building dens and tackling the assault course. Those who brought in wellies have been able to fully enjoy these activities without worrying about the winter weather! Across the playgrounds, we’ve introduced new equipment to every play area, which has created a truly vibrant and fun lunchtime for everyone.
Looking ahead to next week, we’re taking Thrive Play a step further by introducing free-flow play between the different areas. This means children in Year 1 will also have the opportunity to explore the Forest School. Please ensure your child has a pair of wellies in school so they can make the most of this exciting lunchtime experience.
