Important Messages

Term 4 ends on Thursday 3rd March at normal time.  Term 5 begins on Tuesday 22nd April.  We hope you have a wonderful Easter break!

Maths

We have focused on interpreting pie charts this week, reading graphs to answer questions.  Here, it is important to find things that we know about the pie chart to solve information that we don't know.  We also found the mean of sets of numbers, which is the average.  To find the mean, add all the numbers together then divide by the number of numbers.

English

We have read more of our text, Kensuke's Kingdom.  Michael has become stranded on an exotic island with Stella, the dog.  From information in the text, we drew what we thought it looked like then wrote setting descriptions of it.  We also focused on charactisation between Mum and Dad after they find that Michael has fallen overboard.
