One Childhood, One Chance

Friday 11th October 2024

Dear Families,

I hope this week’s newsletter finds you well. This evening sees our first disco of the year, which is always lots of fun and highly anticipated! The children are so excited, and I’m sure it will be a brilliant event for everyone involved.

As we move into the penultimate week of the term, I find myself reflecting on how quickly this term has flown by. Our Reception children have settled in so well that it feels like they’ve always been a part of our Chilton family. They are now truly woven into the fabric of the school, and it’s wonderful to see. Believe it or not, we’ve already begun conducting new intake tours for the next academic year—time really does fly!

This year has seen the introduction of the Thrive approach at Chilton, a strategy that supports our children’s emotional health and wellbeing. We are now using Thrive across the whole school, as we believe it will benefit all our children, especially those who may need additional support with their emotions. If you’d like to know more about how this works, we’re hosting a Thrive Coffee Morning next Tuesday. Please do come along if you can—it will be a great opportunity to ask questions and learn more about how we are supporting your children’s emotional growth.

I’d also like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to all the families who have taken their children to various sporting events this term, particularly the cross-country event last weekend. These events are always such a highlight for the children, and they wouldn’t be possible without your support. Your commitment means the world to us, and we truly appreciate it.

Next Monday, bookings will open for our parent-teacher consultations. This is a fantastic chance to meet your child’s teacher and discuss the progress they’ve made so far this year. Please see the attached letter for more information on dates and times, and be sure to secure your slot!

Finally, here is the link to our blogs page on the website. As we head towards Christmas, things can start to get busy and the bogs are the go-to place for all the information you will need.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend, and I look forward to seeing you all next week.

Best regards,
Mr. McAuley
