Chilton Primary School

One Childhood, One Chance

Friday 6th September 2024

Dear Families,

I hope that you have all had a wonderful summer. As we settle into the new academic year, I wanted to take a moment to celebrate the incredible start we’ve had. The children have returned to school with enthusiasm, embracing their learning and quickly settling back into the school routine. It’s been wonderful to see their energy and excitement for the year ahead. I want to extend a heartfelt thanks to the support you have given us in ensuring a smooth transition back to school and preparing the children in the way that you have,

I’d also like to extend a special welcome to our new Reception children, who have officially become ‘Chiltonians’ this week! They’ve started their time at Chilton in the most wonderful way, and we are incredibly excited to watch them grow and develop over the coming years. Their enthusiasm and smiles have brightened up the school, and we are so proud of how well they’ve adapted to their new environment.

Thank you for your positive feedback on the new gate near the Reception area. It’s fantastic to hear that it has helped improve the flow of families around the school. This change is part of our ongoing efforts to create the best possible environment for your children, right from the moment they arrive each day.

I’m also pleased to announce that from this first term, we will be running an Attendance Raffle. Any student with 97% attendance or above going into the final week of term will be entered into a raffle. The lucky winners will enjoy a special lunch with me, Mr. McAuley! Attendance is crucial to your child’s success, and we hope this incentive will encourage excellent attendance throughout the term.

Lastly, just a reminder about the importance of wearing the correct school uniform each day, including on P.E. days. Wearing the uniform helps promote personal hygiene and ensures that we meet our school expectations. We appreciate your cooperation in making sure your child comes to school dressed appropriately every day.

Thank you once again for your ongoing support. Here’s to a fantastic year ahead!

Best regards,
Mr. McAuley
