Chilton Primary School

One Childhood, One Chance

Friday 10th May 2024

Dear Parents,

I hope this newsletter finds you well as we journey through another exciting week here at Chilton Primary School.

First and foremost, I'd like to extend a heartfelt congratulations to our fantastic Year 1 children for their outstanding assembly performance this week. We were so proud to see them showcase their learning, and we were thrilled to welcome so many families to share in this special moment. At Chilton, we take great pride in showcasing our children's achievements, and we are incredibly grateful for the continued support of our wonderful community.

In addition to our exciting assemblies, our Year 1 Children went to the Hornby Museum last Friday. They were able to explore the fantastic array of toys which are available at Hornby, which aligned perfectly with their current Thematic Unit – The Toy Maker.

Year 6 have been enjoying their special ‘SATs Breakfast Club’ this week. It has been wonderful to see our year 6 children coming together and having such fun, so early in the morning. Our teachers have been coming in especially early to make this happen, we are always grateful for their time and dedication for our children. Next week is SATs week, which is an important time for our children. I can see the pride on their faces in having the opportunity to show just how much they have learnt – we are incredibly proud of each and every one of them!

As we delve deeper into the term, I urge you to keep a close eye on the key dates listed below, as well as the weekly 'next week at Chilton' poster. These resources will help you stay informed about upcoming events and activities.

Furthermore, I encourage you to stay connected with your child's learning journey by regularly checking their class blogs, which are updated weekly. These blogs provide invaluable insights into what your child is learning, including specific dates and additional home learning. Blogs

Finally, I invite you to watch and enjoy this week's 'Head-Up' video, which features highlights from our school week. Keep an eye out for your child, as they may be featured!
