Year 3 News!
Year 3 have had another absolutely brilliant week this week and the Year 3 team are very proud of them!
English
This week we continued to write and finish our non-chronological report about spiders by publishing them onto a full double page spread as if we were making a proper report. We continued practicing the 4 sentence types and compound sentences. Following on from that, linking to our thematic, we created a non-chronological report on Brazil and what we know about it including the people, the Amazon rainforest as well as the landmarks and so much more!
Maths
In Maths we’ve been practising some of our core skills including subtracting on a number line and in column method. We have also practised multiplying with our column method and using the bus stop method for division We’ve continued practising our times tables and any more practice of the times tables at home would be greatly appreciated!
RE
In RE this week we’ve been learning about the bible and what the bible is. We’ve discussed why it is important for Christians, looked at some of the stories in the bible and discussed what it is used for. We’ve also discussed the differences between stories, proverbs, songs and letters so we can understand what a proverb is used for in Christianity.
