Weekly News
Firstly, thank you to those parents who were able to watch Team Turquoise's assembly on Wednesday. The children thoroughly enjoyed showing the work they have done so far this term. In total, Year 6 raised £164 for the Malala Fund from their campaign. This money will now be donated to help children around the world to help with their education. This is a huge accomplishment that has had such awareness, MP Craig Mackinlay will be visiting Chilton Primary School next Friday specifically to speak with Year 6 as we wrote to him about our campaign for education for all.
In maths, we have been learning about the properties of 3D shapes and created some from nets. After this, we began to understand fractions: proper-, improper fractions and mixed numbers, which we will continue next week.
In English, we read more of Skellig - we have been asking more questions than answering though! From this, we practised opening narrative in different ways: dialogue, action and description.
This week's Love to Learn task is on www.mymaths.co.uk and is linked to our learning this week.
