Dear Families,

What a wonderful week it has been—filled with sunshine, joy, and happiness!

 

First, a huge thank you to all of you who have volunteered to help us finish painting the fence on Monday afternoon next week. Your support will have such a positive impact on our children’s environment, and we are incredibly grateful. If you would still like to join us, it’s not too late!

Another big thank you goes to everyone who came along to Wake-and-Shake on Wednesday morning. It was our first time hosting it in the Key Stage 1 playground, which created such a fantastic atmosphere! Well done to all of you who joined in the dancing—I hope you also enjoyed the tea, coffee, and biscuits.

This week has been dominated by Parent-Teacher Consultations, and I hope these meetings have given you a real insight into your child’s progress here at Chilton. As parents, you often want to know just as much about the social side of school life as the academic side, and we hope these conversations have been valuable. However, I am always open to feedback, so please let me know if there are ways we can further improve these meetings.

As I write this, I don’t yet know the results of The Speaker Competition, but for those of you who attended the Chilton Finalist round, you will have seen just how incredibly high the standard was. All of our speakers spoke with such confidence and persuasion. I wish the best of luck to everyone taking part today, but no matter the outcome, we are so proud of you all!

All that’s left for me to say is have a wonderful weekend, and we can’t wait to see you next week. A quick reminder that next Friday is an INSET day, so there will be no school for children on that day.
