Chilton Primary is celebrating Christmas in style with a sack full of activities.
The fun began with a festive fair with a range of stalls including tombola and lucky dips. The school choir performed and Santa dropped by to wish everyone seasons’ greetings.
Chilton has a strong tradition of nativity plays for younger children and this year there were sparkling performances by Reception pupils who performed their version of The Grinch, complete with distinctive green faces and colourful costumes.
Year 1 pupils performed Shine Star, Shine, while Year 2 enjoyed the traditional nativity story.
Older children in Key Stage 2 enjoyed presenting a Christmas performance at St Laurence Church and this included festive songs and poems, with the event compered by the House Captains.
Every year group let their hair down with their own individual parties that included tasty food treats, fun and games.
The fabulous festive programme also included a Christmas jumper day and the traditional Christmas dinner with all the trimmings.
Deputy Head of School Hannah Cheshire said: “We love Christmas at Chilton. Our children and staff really enter into the spirit of the occasion and it is a perfect way to end a successful and busy term.”
Chilton Primary is part of the Viking Academy trust with partner schools Ramsgate Arts Primary and Upton Junior.
