One Childhood, One Chance

Friday 5th July 2024

Dear Families,

I hope this newsletter finds you well and enjoying the start of summer. While I wish I could control the weather (a superpower I would gladly accept), I must apologise for having to cancel our much-loved Wednesday Wake-and-Shake this week due to the weather. Additionally, we are so disappointed that we have been forced to postpone the Summer Fair until next Friday, but we know what a joyous occasion this is when the sun is shining. I also know how much we all look forward to these wonderful moments when we come together and celebrate our vibrant community.

On a brighter note, our Year 6 students have just wrapped up their activity week and I couldn't be prouder. They represented Chilton impeccably at every turn, showing maturity, teamwork, and a lot of enthusiasm. They also visited their new schools this week and I’m confident those schools will quickly realise how lucky they are to have such fantastic children joining them. We are so proud of the people they have become.

Next week, we have Sports Day to look forward to — a day that never fails to bring excitement and a bit of healthy competition. To ensure we have bright skies on Wednesday, I kindly ask you all to perform a mini anti-rain dance on Tuesday evening. Feel free to get creative; who knows, we might just start a new tradition!

Thank you all again for your continued support for everything we do at Chilton. Your involvement and enthusiasm make all the difference. Remember, my door is always open for anything and everything — whether it's a chat about your child's progress, a suggestion for the school, or simply to share your favourite anti-rain dance moves.

Best regards,

Mr McAuley
