Thank you once again for your continued support this week! The cold weather has truly descended upon Chilton, and it’s heartening to see our children dressed warmly and ready for the season.
Come Dine With Me – Reception
Today marks our second Come Dine With Me event, and we are thrilled to welcome many of our new Reception parents for their first-ever school lunch experience. It’s a wonderful opportunity to come together and share a moment of your child’s school day. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

Road Safety Awareness
A huge thank you to everyone who participated in Road Safety Awareness Week last week. Your efforts to support safe practices around the school have been invaluable. A special mention goes to Tara, our fantastic lollipop lady, who works tirelessly to ensure our children cross the roads safely each day.
Thank you also to those who parked away from the restricted side of Chilton Lane—this has greatly improved the flow of traffic and, most importantly, the safety of our children. Let’s keep up this fantastic effort!
Year 4’s Trip to Maidstone Museum
Our Year 4 children had an incredible experience at Maidstone Museum this week. The highlight of the visit was undoubtedly the 2,500-year-old Egyptian mummy, The Lady of the House, Ta-Kush, Daughter of Osiris. Seeing such a significant piece of history up close was awe-inspiring for the children and brought their studies of Ancient Egypt to life.
A huge thank you to all the adults who made this trip possible, including our wonderful parent volunteers. These enriching experiences are made even better by your involvement and support.
Year 6’s Viking Adventures
On Thursday, Year 6 explored our local history during a visit to Pegwell Bay. Standing at the Viking ship, the children delved into the history of Julius Caesar’s arrival in 55 BC, the Roman invasion in 43 AD, and the lasting impact of Hengist and Horsa, whose legacy is represented on the Kent flag.
The trip was a brilliant way for our children to contextualize their learning and truly connect with the history of our local environment. Thank you to all the staff and volunteers who made this possible.
Upcoming Events
Next week, it’s the turn of Years 3 and 5 for Come Dine With Me! We cannot wait to welcome more of you into school and share this special time together.
Wishing You a Wonderful Weekend
As always, thank you for your unwavering support and enthusiasm for everything we do here at Chilton. Have a safe and enjoyable weekend, and we look forward to seeing you all next week.
