Year 4 Weekly News
With the end of term looming we wanted to say a big thank you and well done to everyone as the children are still working incredibly hard and it is showing in their work!
Maths
This week in maths, we have been learning about Venn and Carroll diagrams, the children have been sorting data into the correct parts of the diagram. This has been certain shapes and different multiples of numbers.
Next week, we are going to go back and look at time.
English
This week in English, we finished our book! The children had a fantastic time listening to and reading the ending and were overjoyed at what happened at the end. We began the week by linking poetry to our topic of volcanoes and creating our own poems and finished the week by creating a biography of Edward’s life throughout the story.
Topic
In Topic, we have been still working on volcanoes. We looked and discussed what people can do in the case of an emergency, what the government and local councils can do to prepare for such an event. We also looked at why people actually live around volcanoes.
Love to learn
As we had such a good time on the trip today. We would like to know your favourite parts, however you need to tell us why you enjoyed those specific parts and what you enjoyed about them.
