Weekly News 22.10.21
What an incredible week and term we have had. All children should be incredibly proud of how they have behaved and worked in this first term. Well done!
Maths
This week in maths we have tackled the difficult subject of time. The way the children have shown great resilience to battle through the difficult subject is wonderful to see. We began using analogue clocks at the beginning of the week and ended with digital time. We also made our own clocks to go in our trays to help us!
English
Throughout English this week we have continued writing our reports focusing on 3rd person, past tense and time conjunctions. However, this week we also started to include speech in our reports. At the end of the week we created our own newspaper report on the events that happened in the Iron Man. The Iron Man defeated the dangerous Space bat angel dragon!
RE
This week in RE, we have been learning about Sikhism! At first, we looked at what Sikhs believe in. The children created fact sheets about what they believe and what they found out that lesson. Moving on, we were learning about Sikh ceremonies and how they name their new born children. Finally, we learnt about Sikh weddings and created our own wedding invitation.
Notices
Please encourage your child to read as much as possible at home - once they complete a book they need to do an AR quiz. Details of this have been sent home and have been on prior emails.
Thank you for your continued support, stay safe and have a lovely break!
