Maths

This week in Maths we have continued to explore subtraction.  We have been used a part whole model to find 2 subtraction number sentences. Then we moved on to subtracting on a number line.  After half term, the children will be exploring place value again. We will be looking at ordinal numbers, number sequences and comparing numbers.

Topic

In Topic this week, we have been detectives looking at different artists. We now know what portraits and self portraits are! We looked further into the work of Andy Warhol, and even created our own artwork in his style. We think we may have some budding artists on our hands... just look at the photos!

Home learning

We would love for you to research a portrait/ self portrait artist during half term and maybe even have a go at some art in the style of their work.

Home learning is due in by Wednesday 30th October.

News and reminders

First day of school is Tuesday 29^th October - Monday is an inset day.

After half term, we will be doing some design and technology - please send in any junk modelling you have at home (boxes, bottles etc).
