Our New Outside Area
Welcome back to school! This week we have been enjoying our new outside area. The work should be fully completed by the end of the week, ready for the children to explore. This week we have been learning about our 'Champion of Courage' Florence Nightingale. The children have learnt about how she helped others in a courageous way and linked this to their own lives. We have used charcoal to create pictures of Florence and we have role played what it must have been like for her trying to help soldiers. In maths this week, we have covered estimation and 2D shapes. We have been learning how many corners and sides each 2D shape has. We have learning about pentagons and hexagons.
Thank you for all the home learning that has come into school. It looked like you all had a wonderful Christmas.
Next week we are heading to the forest school, so please ensure your child has some wellington boots in school.
