Another amazing week for Team Topaz and Team Aqua! A beautiful, sunny week with lots of wonderful learning and happy, smiling children.

Wingham School Trip

On Monday 27^th June, we will be having an exciting day out at Wingham. Children need to be in school at usual time and will need to be collected at the usual time. The children will need to bring a bag which they will need to carry all day (e.g. a rucksack) which will need to be big enough to carry their lunch. If you are providing your child with their packed lunch, please make sure that all contents can be thrown away. The children will need enough water for the day. Please also make sure that they have a named sunhat. The children will need to have sun cream applied before they come in to school in the morning. Children will need to wear school uniform, but can wear trainers if they wish. Many thanks!

BOOKS!

Please could you make sure that all reading books (book corner books, phonics books and coloured banded books) are returned to school by Friday 15^th July. Due to transition sessions the follow weeks, we will not be changing the books. Many thanks!

Phonics:

This week, the children used their phonic skills to write some facts about dinosaurs which they have learned this week (based on what they eat, whether they are a carnivore, herbivore or omnivore and what sort of teeth each type of dinosaur had).

Maths:

This week, we have been learning about subtraction. At the start of the week, the children learned to subtract by counting backwards. We then learned to use the number line by jumping backwards on it.

Topic:

This week we have been learning about dinosaurs and whether they are a carnivore, herbivore or omnivore. We also learned about what type of teeth each group had and discussed why they had those type of teeth.

• Monday 18^th, Tuesday 19^th, Wednesday 20^th July – spending the days with their new teacher
