Chilton Primary School

One Childhood, One Chance

Friday 19th July 2024

Dear Families

As we reach the end of another academic year, I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support and engagement throughout the incredible journey we have been on together this year. It has been a remarkable one for Chilton Primary School, filled with exciting adventures and significant milestones.

For our youngest Reception children, it was their very first year at Chilton, and what a wonderful start it has been! Watching them grow, learn, and become a part of our school community has been truly rewarding. At the same time, we bid a fond farewell to our Year 6 children as they move on to the next chapter of their educational journey. We are immensely proud of their achievements and the young individuals they have become.

The school year has been packed with thrilling trips and experiences that have enriched our children’s learning. From exploring the wonders of Wingham, Monkton, and London, to the historical marvels of Dover Castle, each trip has provided unique opportunities for our children to learn and grow outside the classroom. These adventures have been incredibly exciting for the children, and I am grateful for the memories we've created together.

Every morning, I have the honour of meeting and greeting you all, a privilege that I cherish deeply. I have honestly enjoyed greeting each and every one of you every morning, even in the rain! Being able to visit each classroom every day allows me to witness firsthand the love of learning that our children exhibit. Their enthusiasm and excitement are truly infectious and make Chilton a truly wonderous place.

Some of my personal highlights this year have been the events where we all come together as a community. Sports Day, class assemblies, the Christmas and Summer fairs, and our Wake and Shake sessions have been wonderful opportunities to celebrate our collective spirit and unity. These moments are precious to me, as they showcase the strength of our school community and the joy we share in our children's growth and accomplishments.

Attached are some key dates for Term 1. Please remember that Class blogs will be on-hold over summer period. Monday 2nd September is an INSET day, so we will look forward to welcoming you back on Tuesday 3rd September.

I want to thank each and every one of you for making this year so special. Your involvement and support have been instrumental in creating a nurturing and vibrant environment for our children.

As we approach the summer holidays, I wish you all a restful and enjoyable break. I look forward to welcoming the vast majority of you back for another exciting year at Chilton Primary School.

With warmest regards,

Mr. McAuley
