English
This week, the children have written a film narrative using the film ‘Alma’. They have focused on describing, building suspense, mood and tone and varying their openers. Watch the film Alma here - https://www.literacyshed.com/alma.html
Maths
We have focussed on converting units of measure this week. The children are able to convert between units of length, mass and distance. Next week we will return to fractions where we will multiplying fractions and divide them.
Thematic
This week we have learnt about what our bodies need to stay healthy. We have looked at nutrition and seasonal foods and when and where the foods we love and need to stay healthy are grown.
Home Learning:
It is National Story Telling week next week. For this we would love the children to learn a story, invent a story/tale to re-tell to the class. It can be true, it can be funny but we would like the children to be able to talk for at least a min. The home learning is due in Wednesday.
