Some My Maths learning has also been set. Your child should have been given their login details. If, for some reason, your child has forgotten these please do ask their class teacher to provide these to them again. The MyMaths is based on area and perimeter.

This Week:

In English, the children wrote different styles of poetry. These included Haiku poems, a narrative poem and a shape poem.  Different skills employed included using ambitious vocabulary, structuring their ideas using a specific number of syllables.

In Maths, the children worked on finding the area and perimeter of shapes.

In Topic, the children had a very creative week where they concentrated on Design Technology. They planned, made and evaluated a woven product. At the end of the week, they took part in a quiz to reflect on their understanding of what had been learnt throughout the term.

Next Week:

Next week, in maths, we will be learning to estimate, compare and calculate measures.

In English, we will be writing based on Christmas. A range of skills that we have covered this term will be employed to consolidate the children’s understanding.

In Topic, the children will work on an area that they need to cover again based on undertaking their end of term quiz.

In RE, the children will be learning about the Christmas journey.

Other activities will include Christmas themed tasks such as preparing for the Year 3 and 4 Christmas Assembly and the Christmas Party.
