Chilton Primary School

One Childhood, One Chance

Friday 12th July 2024

Dear Families,

Thank you for all your incredible support this week. What a week it has been! Our school is always bustling with activity, but this time of year takes it to another level.

Today, you will receive your child’s school report. It’s always a delight to read about the wonderful year your child has had at Chilton. These reports capture treasured memories that your children will look back on fondly in years to come. Additionally, our Year 6 children will receive their SATs results today. Each and every one of them should be immensely proud of their achievements!

Thank you for your enthusiastic attendance on Wednesday, which saw another truly wonderful Chilton Sports Day. This event is a highlight for me personally, as I love seeing the joy on the children's faces as they participate and enjoy the festivities. School is about more than academic progress; it’s about joy, fun, and being part of our vibrant community. Days like Wednesday truly showcase the incredible spirit we have here at Chilton.

On Thursday, I was immensely proud to be part of the fantastic music performance led by Mr. Redwood. The children performed brilliantly, and it was heartwarming to see the pride on the faces of the families in the audience.

Today, we are excited to celebrate our Summer Fair—better late than never! We can’t wait to enjoy this event together and celebrate the summer term.

Looking ahead, next week is Transition Week, where your children will meet their new teachers. On Monday morning, please drop your child off at their usual classroom; they will transition to their new classroom after assembly. To see where your child’s new classroom will be, please click here to watch the a video of where the classrooms will be.

I would just like to make you all aware of a charity skydive that one of our parents is doing to raise money for Cancer Research UK. Their family has raised money hosting charity quizzes over the past 10 years to raise as much money for charity as they can in memory of their sister in law, who sadly passed away at a very young age of cervical cancer. Next week they are also hosting  a quiz for Connecting for a Cure. If you would like to donate please scan the QR code below or perhaps you may be interested in bringing a team to the quiz, no booking required!

Thank you for another wonderful week. Enjoy your weekend and get ready for the final week of this academic year!

Warm regards,

Mr. McAuley
