Weekly News - 5.4.19
This week, the children have been learning about Easter and how it is celebrated in different countries. The children learned that in some countries they have egg rolling competitions. The children in Team Teal and Team Periwinkle then had their own egg rolling competition! In some countries, the children are woken up by loud music: the children then acted this out! We also learned that some people decorate eggs and the children then designed and painted their own egg. See some pictures below of children decorating their eggs.
In maths, the children have been practising writing their numbers correctly, they have been finding different possibilities to decorate an egg and have been making eggs symmetrical.
P.E kits have been sent home. Please wash these and send back on the first day after the holidays - many thanks. Please do let us know if you are missing any items from PE kits and also return anything that does not belong to your child. We do try our best to make sure that the children put their PE kits in the right bags but sometimes they get placed in the wrong bags by accident. Many thanks for your help with this.
A new Love to Learn task has been set and sent home this week. Please check your child's book bags for the activity. You can present this learning in any way - there is no right or wrong way!
We would like to take this opportunity to wish you a very happy and relaxing few weeks and we look forward to seeing the children for the start of Term 5.
As ever, many thanksfor your continued support,
The Foundation Team
