Look at what Year 4 have been up to this week!
Weekly News
This week, Year 4 have spent time looking at fractions and decimals. We started be revisiting equivalent fractions, then we found decimal equivalents for fractions before working hard to find different fractions of different amounts. We have continued reading ‘Clockwork’ learning all about Prince Florian’s life. We wrote a day in the life of a clockwork boy, created a piece of suspenseful writing predicting what will happen to Gretl after she says ‘devil’ and written instructions on how to care for Sir Ironsoul.
We have also been learning about e-safety and its importance. We have spoken about the importance of asking and having permission online and how we need to protect our ourselves by protecting our personal information and not sharing it. Team Aqua continued their French unit by learning how to count and Team Topaz continued computing by learning how to create, edit and save a word document.

Take the pledge!
Create a ‘Permission Pledge’ about what you’ve learnt from our Healthy Relationships week. You can write or draw your pledge. Pledges could relate closely to the theme of consent or be more broadly about making
positive choices online. For example:
I pledge to always ask permission before posting a photo of a friend online.
I pledge to ask my Mum and Dad before I download a new app on my tablet.
I pledge to only post kind comments when I’m online.
I pledge to speak to an adult if I see anything online which worries or upsets me.
