A week with Team Aqua and Team Topaz

Term 3 – Week 1

We kicked off the term with an incredible trip to the Science Museum! We were able to visit the Clockmaker’s Museum which gave us an interesting insight to our new story, ‘Clockwork’. We visited different exhibitions to explore materials. Our favourite parts by far, was visiting the Wonderlab, and watching the exciting show, ‘Flash, Bang, Wallop!’ It was such a wonderful day and the children were outstanding.

English and Maths

In English, we wrote recounts of our trip, using a range of openers and making sure we accurately used paragraphs. In Maths we were able to able to round to 10, 100 and 1000. We applied this skill to different reasoning problems.

Values

This week has been values week and we have been learning about Marie Curie. We explored her achievements and had great discussions about equality and the obstacles that stood in her way. We wrote amazing diary entries or letters of complaint in role, to show her anger and frustrations.

We would like the children to reflect on their learning of courage. What have they done to show courage at home or at a club? They can show this in any way they would like!
