Term 5 Week 5

Maths

This week in Maths we have been learning to solve word problems! We know how to read it carefully, underline the important information and find the calculation! We have had fun writing our own word problems and being detectives looking for clues to find out whether we should add or subtract.

Good to be ME!

This week we have been preparing for the big parade on Friday! On Monday and Tuesday afternoon we went on big swap around! In our class we had 10 Reception children, 10 Year 1 and 10 Years 2s and completed a range of activities all based around 'Good to be me!' 

Home Learning

A massive thank you for all of your good to be me home learning! They were utterly outstanding - what amazing children we have in Year 1! :)

Reminders…

• Please remember to tie hair back.
• The sun has been shining, please be prepared for hotter weather. I.e. hats, sun cream.
• Children are always encouraged throughout the day to have a drink of water. There is also plenty of opportunities at break and lunch times to have a drink.
